A baby's laugh is the sweetest thing!

Easton's first real laughing episode, it was so cute and Haylee was so thrilled to be the one making him laugh. He just gets cuter each day, what a lucky mommy I am!

A Beautiful Blessing

Today was Easton's blessing day. It was supposed to happen 2 weeks ago, but we had to cancel at the last minute because me and Easton were sick, he had a stuffy nose and I don't know what I had but it included a fever for 3 days and extremely swollen glands in my throat, it was nasty. Luckily Easton didn't get that too. It was actually a good thing that we changed the date, it made it more convenient for quite a few people and the weather was so nice today, it was rainy and cold on the original date. Even though our sacrament meeting was at 9 we had a very good turnout. We have such a wonderful family who were willing to sacrifice sleep to come and be here for this special event, Grandpa and Grandma especially who had a 2 hour drive to get here and they were even 30 minutes early. Norm gave Easton a beautiful blessing. We are enjoying our sweet little boy so much, it's so special to have him in our family. I feel incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to be his mom and love him and take care of him.

And where are our girls you ask.....they were too busy playing with cousins and uncle Keldon to pose for any pictures. Aleeya did change Easton's diaper and get him dressed in his blessing outfit this morning which was a great help to me. They love their little brother and are very willing to help take care of him. Haylee has been telling us that she's in love with Easton, how sweet, she's a silly little thing, and she also proudly tells people that she's the middle child now.

Spring Break - Part 2

Norm was making fun of me for taking pictures of roses, but they had a beautiful rose garden on one corner of the temple grounds.

We spent some time walking around the beautiful St. George temple, it is so peaceful there. Norm's parents live just across the street from it, so it will be a favorite place for us to walk when were are down there.

They have this fun little park at the library in St. George, the girls had a great time playing there on an 85 degree April day.

Spring Break Part 1 - Zion's Canyon

Over spring break we went down to St. George to visit Norm's parent who recently moved there. While we were there we went to Zion's Canyon. It was beautiful, I had never been before. We went on a couple hikes and took lots of pictures of the amazing scenery. I'd love to go back because one day was not enough time there. Aleeya was full of energy and was running up and down the trail exploring as we were hiking. Haylee was having a bit of asthma and we decided she better stay in the stroller, luckily the trail was paved. Norm's parents and his brother Nate and his wife Heather went with us. The weather was perfect and we had a great time.

Easton will be as big as Haylee before long. She weighs 33 lbs. and at 2 1/2 months he is a hefty 15 lbs. He is so cute and chubby, I'm excited for warmer weather so we can show off his leg and arm rolls.

Norm usually has to be to work around 4 in the morning so he is pretty tired in the afternoon when he gets home. When he gets home he takes Easton and it's not unusual to find the two of them in the recliner taking a little nap. It's so cute!

Easton at 3 weeks

Here's some pictures of Easton with Aleeya and Haylee who just can't get enough of him. I thought that there might be some jealousy issues, especially with Haylee who has been our baby for almost 5 years, but the girls have nothing but love for Easton. They are so concerned about him and check on him whenever he makes a sound. Aleeya loves to hold him and talk to him. Haylee holds him and strokes his head, she's fascinated by him, and loves to help me give him baths. It is wonderful having little Easton here, he brings such happiness to our family.

Easton Lee Parker

I was induced on the morning of the 11th & Easton was born at 1:37 pm. He weighed 7 lbs. 10 oz. & was 19 inches long. He had gotten some fluid in his lungs & had to spend a few hours in the nicu, but they got him suctioned out and breathing good really quickly. He's a tough little guy, he didn't cry a whole lot while they were poking him & sticking tubes in him. I was glad when they finally brought him to me & I got to hold him for the first time. He's absolutely perfect & so cute. We are so blessed to have him as part of our family. The girls are just in love with him & want to help with everything. We are glad to be home & I'm feeling pretty good, just enjoying our sweet little boy!
